Feminine Outfit Ideas

Image
In my last post about feminine fashion I recommended items from my favorite brands. I’m in the mood to play boutique manager again, but this time I want to make some outfits. In this post I’ll be making feminine outfit recommendations. For those who are new to the style, the feminine fashion style aims to make the wearer feel lady-like and mature. Feminine fashion can be worn in a casual and dressy manner.  Outfit 1: I want to start this post with some feminine outfits I own. Ever since I got this top and skirt from Michell Macaron, I’ve been wearing them non-stop. Over winter break I wore this outfit to a Christmas festival and I got loads of compliments. Wearing this outfit has not only boosted my confidence, but I feel like I have an increase in motivation while wearing this. I think the boost in motivation comes from the fact that this outfit makes me feel like a college student. Girly Outfit Ideas

I’ve talked about Style Savvy quite a few times on this blog. I enjoy reminiscing about my favorite styles from the game. Those styles are girly, feminine, and bold. The girly style holds a special place in my heart because it is the first style I fell in love with, and it is the style I wear the most. Girly fashion, not to be confused with the more mature feminine style, encompasses all things whimsical, delicate, and frilly. In a previous post, I recommended feminine pieces to my readers, and now it’s fitting that I do the same for girly clothes. It’s worth noting that the best way to acquire girly garments is to look on second hand sites, as the style is not very mainstream. Search for brands like “Liz Lisa”, “Lodispotto”, “Axes Femme”, “Mille Fillie Closet”, “Swankiss”, and “Mellfy Memory”. Most of the brands I just mentioned are either defunct or have since moved away from the girly style. OUTFIT 1 Beloved Mellfy Knit Top from Mellfy Memory + Fragrance Rose Skirt from Mellfy Mem

I Made A Larme Inspired Skirt

Image
Quite a while ago I made a skirt that was inspired by my favorite magazine. LARME magazine, founded in 2012, aims to be a “sweet and cute picture book” for young women and teens. LARME magazine gained notoriety for being the pioneer of its own unique style. While the magazine does follow trends, it combines elements of many different styles to achieve the overall vibe of “dolly sweetheart” in its photos. The substyle that was birthed from this magazine, which is literally just called Larme, has no specific rules. Thus “Larme'' is a very loose term. However I did notice one detail that was common in Larme photos. That being sheer/tulle fabric. When I decided to make a garment inspired by the magazine I knew the design had to incorporate tulle. I made a digital college (I lost it) of outfits from the magazine that inspired me. After completing my college I noticed that many skirts featured in the magazine incorporated a layer of tulle that extended past the fabric it was layered

Patchwork Denim Flared Jeans

Image
FINALLY after months of not getting the attention they deserve, I’m finally blogging about the patchwork denim jeans I made.. In New England we don’t get a lot of sunlight in the winter, and it’s way too cold and muggy out to go outside for a photo shoot. Please excuse the fact that these aren’t by any means the best photos. Fun Fact: I made these jeans using denim I bought from the thrift store. If you’re going to make a pair of patchwork denim jeans, I would high recommend buying denim from the thrift store. It will save you a lot of money and it’s a sustainable practice. I would also advise that you make your squares large. I made small squares for my front legs, and it took FOREVER. I spent countless hours cutting and sewing those tiny squares.

15 Feminine Fashion Recommendations

I played a lot of Style Savvy Styling Star as a kid. In that game’s story, your boutique would be visited by each of the three main characters at least once a week. They came to chat with you about how the pursuit of their passions was going, and, obviously, to buy clothes that will aid them in pursuing their current goal. I wish this was my life. I would love to have the ability to purchase clothes directly from my favorite brands once a week. I’d love to run my own boutique too. Unfortunately, in real life buying quality stylish clothes once a week is expensive, and would also become wasteful at some point. Rather than shop, I’ve decided to play boutique manager today, and recommend fifteen of my favorite feminine pieces that I’ve come across recently. These are in no specific order, as I don’t own anything on this list. “Ribbon Off Shoulder Knit Top” from Michell Macaron This top comes in red and white. I personally favor the white because it can be styled successfully with more d
